🎨 Welcome to the November 2025 Newsletter
Hello and thank you for joining me for this edition of my newsletter.
I want to offer a warm thank you to everyone who has taken the time to look at my recent paintings and visit the exhibition. Whether you’ve read an article on the website, shared a kind comment or simply enjoyed the work from afar, your interest means a great deal. Painting can be a quiet, solitary occupation, but knowing the work connects with people brings real encouragement.
The past few months have been full of new paintings, refreshed pieces and plenty of hard work leading up to the exhibition, and it has been a pleasure to share these moments with you. I’m grateful for every message, every conversation and every bit of support that helps keep the creative energy moving.
As a small thank you, I’m offering 30% off all prints for a limited time (use code Nov30 at checkout). It’s a simple way to show my appreciation for your continued interest and to make it a little easier for anyone who’d like to bring a piece of the Scottish landscape into their home.
If there’s a particular painting you’ve enjoyed, now is a lovely time to revisit the print collection and see what speaks to you.
Thank you again for being part of this journey — your support truly matters, and I look forward to sharing more work with you in the months ahead.
I truly appreciate your interest in my artwork, and I hope you enjoy reading this newsletter and exploring more paintings on my website.
Thank you again for your support,
Until next month, Happy Viewing! John Gerrie

Crathes Castle in Watercolour
Two Paintings, Two Different Views Crathes Castle is a subject I have returned to twice, and looking at the two paintings side by side shows just how differently the same place can be interpreted in watercolour. Both paintings feature the familiar tower house and the adjoining building, but the viewpoint, colour, atmosphere and composition are quite different. One is more …
